Paul Paolatto - Chief Executive Officer
In his capacity as CEO, Paul is responsible for the overall startup, resourcing and performance of Agri-Therm. Concurrent with his role at Agri-Therm, Paul is serving as Executive Director of WORLDiscoveries, the new business development arm of the The University of Western Ontario, Robarts Research Institute and the Lawson Health Research Institute. Prior to joining Agri-Therm and WORLDiscoveries, Paul successfully served as part-owner and CEO for two venture-backed software companies which were restored from near bankruptcy into profitable entities. One of the VC-sponsored companies was recently sold for considerable gain on investment. Prior to his software roles, Paul was a senior operating executive at a $150 million, 2,500 employee, energy services company that eventually evolved into a $500 million income trust. Paul is very active in the community, serving on a number of charitable boards and associations.
Jennifer MacDonald - Chief Operating Officer
Jennifer joined Agri-Therm in February 2010 to oversee operations, including raising capital, human resources, marketing, technical project management and technology transfer. Jennifer successfully completed a Masters Degree in BioChemical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario and then worked for London based Trojan Technologies as a Project Manager and Technical Services Manager for 5 years. In 2004 Jennifer started a small business, Cenabal Gourmet Organics, manufacturing organic salad dressings. Jennifer grew this business over the next 4 years, leveraging her technical background and marketing savvy into a $200,000.00 investment from two angel investors in 2006. Cenabal earned nation wide distribution in 2007 and entered the mass market in 2008. Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge on manufacturing, marketing, and distribution to Agri-Therm.
Federico Berruti - Vice President
Federico Berruti is a gold-medal graduate from a five year combined degree program in Chemical Engineering and Honours Business Administration at Western Engineering and the Richard Ivey School of Business, at The University of Western Ontario. He is currently pursuing a PhD program at Western Engineering, studying the sustainable renewable energy market, bio-fuel and bio-char production, feedstock preparation, biomass feeding techniques, and condensation systems at the Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR), and has several publications in these fields. Federico oversees the technical operations of Agri-Therm Inc. and acts as the liaison between the business executive, the shareholders and the operations. He is also involved in the business strategic planning, in hiring, and in demonstrating the Agri-Therm Inc. technology.
